Of the many similes used to describe our journey through the mortal coil of life, our favorite includes a reference to a certain group of confectioneries wherein you’re unsure of what flavor you’ll end up with. We put our heads together with our Danish friends at Mikkeller and seized our collective destinies by deciding exactly what we’ll get: an Imperial Stout brewed with cherries and cacao nibs that’s been aged in bourbon barrels, that’s what. Boasting decadent flavors of rich dark chocolate and ripe cherries, this enormous stout evokes some of the best things that life has to offer.
Whiskey Barrel-aged Imperial Milk Porter

So, what you’ve got here is a high gravity porter brewed with lactose and aged in whiskey barrels. It tastes like “free upgrade to first class on a ten hour flight” complimented by notes of “your boss telling you to take the rest of the day off”, while the finish is pure “brand new underwear that fits just right”. It’s good.
Double Barrel-aged Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout
Style: Bourbon and Rum Barrel-aged Imperial Stout
This Russian Imperial Stout is dedicated to Georgy Zhukov, arguably one of the finest generals of World War II, and to the barrels of the weapons used by Zhukov’s 1st Belorussian Front of the Red Army to push through the German-occupied territory of East Prussia in early 1945. We’ve aged this monolithic imperial stout in both rum and bourbon barrels to add a legendary depth of character and flavor including flavors of vanilla, dried fruit and baking spices to the dark chocolate and fresh-ground espresso qualities of the base beer.

Halos often signify enlightenment, harmony, and majesty, sentiments that all come to mind when contemplating this rich and complex beer. Crested atop this imperial stout is a radiant crown of juicy raspberries offering pronounced fruitiness and acidity to balance the beer’s formidable body. The imposing stout was then aged in bourbon barrels to further amplify it’s illustriousness. Heavy indeed is the head that wears the halo.
Bourbon Barrel-aged Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout
Style: Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Stout with Chile Peppers, Cinnamon, Vanilla and Cacao
Central to Mayan mythology is the story of twin brothers named Xbalanque and Hunahpu, the Hero Twins. After the Twins’ father was murdered by evil deities from Xibalba, his corpse became a cacao tree that spawned our two Heroes. Epic adventures followed, culminating in a journey to Xibalba to avenge their fathers’ death. Vanquishing their enemies handily, the Heroes then ascended unto the heavens where they became the sun and the moon.
Imperial Stout brewed with ancho and pasilla chile peppers, cinnamon, vanilla and cacao nibs aged in white oak barrels previously used to age bourbon.
