Name Origin:Common Fate is a principle of Gestalt psychology regarding the idea of perception which commonly referenced in design. Essentially, the idea is to assess an item or idea as a sum of its parts rather than its individual elements. Our Creative Manager Tiffany Cox saw analogies between this aesthetics principal and this beer, itself being a multi-layered and complex beer that is greater than the sum of its unassuming oatmeal stout parts.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of dark chocolate and tobacco present assertively on the nose of this Imperial Oatmeal Stout. Freshly ground espresso, molasses and almond flavors mingle with a moderate bitterness and bourbon spiciness, bring the beer into an approachable harmony. Vanilla and a light plum quality round out the palate.
