Duplexity is a new series of bottles that we have created to showcase how the marriage of two barrels, similar or different, can create a more complex product that if it were to be released as a single barrel. And similar to our Singularity Series, the liquid in these barrels is left untreated to emphasize the barrel character produced by the oak and the barrel's previous occupants.
We are kicking off this new series with Duplexity: PVW23, an Imperial Stout that was aged in two Pappy Van Winkle barrels for 19 months. Big vanilla and toffee notes were developed during its time on the oak. It's rich, decadent, and should be consumed during the nearest special occasion. No need to age it further, we already did that for you.
