Description
Barleywine aged in Weller 8-year bourbon barrels for 17 months.
One short year ago we opened the doors to our second location, the Moksa Barrel House. To commemorate the occasion, the brew team sat down with Chef Mike and tasted through all of the oldest barrels in storage over there, and picked out our two favorites to blend and showcase for this anniversary release. Though both barrels held both the same bourbon and base barleywine, one exhibited strong, rich brown sugar and toffee notes, while the other ended up showcasing deep dark chocolate and spice. The bourbon character shines through nicely on both as well, and we are extremely happy with the resulting blend.
