In 2018 a group of people wanted to donate to a local Rochester charity and asked if we would brew them a beer for the donation. Being a supporter of the arts in Rochester, we accepted and their donation led to the installation of an iron sculpture catfish named Flathead in Kutzky Park installed by Arts 4 Trails. Vera Mae (1889-1975) was our grandfather's eldest sister; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Farmstead® ale is crafted from American malted barley; Vermont organic spelt; organic buckwheat; organic wheat; hops; Vermont wildflower honey; dandelion flowers from our fields; our farmhouse yeast; and water from our well. These are 3 of our Farmstead® spring blossom ale, aged in wine barrels.
