5x 355 ml bottles Horus
1x Horus American Solera Maple Maple Distraction (13.2%) , Maple Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Coconut, Geisha Coffee, Hazelnuts, Maple Syrup, and Mexican Vanilla Beans Added. Coming in at 13.2% ABV, this is the most pastry of a Stout I have made in probably a year and definitely the most adjuncts I have used in a long time. It has an awesome butterscotch, caramel, and fudge character. This is the next installment in the collaboration series with my good buds American Solera out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
1x “Brazilian Eagle’s Speed” is an Amburana Barrel Aged Imperial Stout coming in at 13.2% ABV. It spent 27 months in the most expensive wood on the planet. Deep woody notes, vanilla, marzipan, brown sugar, milk chocolate, and samoa cookie flavors from this unique wood.
1x Brazilian Eagle’s Grace Amburana Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Brazilian Bahiana Vanilla Beans Added.
1x Bottle of “Supercalimillenialisticexpialidocious Falcon”: Imperial Stout Aged in Willett Experimental Bourbon Barrels Aged for 20 Months with Panama La Esmeralda Geisha Coffee, Hazelnuts, and Marshmallow Added; barrel aged version of Millenialistic Falcon; collaboration with Permanent Hangover, 15.6% ABV
*These one of a kind barrels were quite wet when Horus got them and the spirit definitely makes itself known in this one. It is lighter on the adjuncts than the fresh non barrel aged version. The combination of barrel and coffee gives this a pronounced chocolate, roast, and spice profile.
-1x “Shikra’s Crest”: Imperial Stout Aged in Weller 12 Year Bourbon Barrels for 21 Months with Marshmallow and Vanilla Added; barrel aged version of Martial’s Crest, 15.2%
*The wheated Bourbon barrels did their magic on the Martial’s base by tempering the sweetness and rounding it out. The vanilla came through perfumey and lingers in the finish. The end result delivered Smores characteristics mixed with lots of barrel.
