Rum Barrel-Aged Joey’s Imperial Rye Porter started off as an imperial porter with a rye heavy malt bill. Post fermentation, we put this beer to rest in rum barrels for 21 months. The spice characteristics from the rye plays nicely with the rum qualities picked up from extended aging. We get notes of vanilla, nutmeg, star anise, apricot kernels and caramel.
