Clover (2005-2014) was an uncomplicated yet complex grey cat with whom we shared an all-too-brief moment and space. Flora is the wine barrel-aged version of Florence (1915-1967), our grandfather’s sister as well as the name of our Farmstead® wheat ale. We selected a single barrel of Flora and aged it on fresh, Vermont-grown Montmorency cherries. The result is a complex, elegant expression of the annual harvest.

Keeping with the theme of black beers landing on 4 in the series, this is a blend of five beers, aged between 8 and 30 months in oak barrels. *** This is a Dark Saison ***

Our Leaves of Grass beers are produced on our 5 hectoliter pilot system, conditioned in wood, and often employ uniquely different processes and ingredients than our regular releases. Anna Valiquette Hill (1902-1993) was our grandfather's sister, whose memory we honor with her namesake Farmstead* ale crafted with Vermont wildflower honey.At the end of 2018, we aged a small portion of Anna atop raspberry and blueberry pomace from the 2018 harvest season for nearly 3 months.
