The 2018 Firestone Walker Stickee Monkee is a barrel-aged "Central Coast Quad" with an ABV of 11.4%.
Style and Origin: A unique take on the Belgian Quadrupel style, pioneered by the brewery in Paso Robles, California.
Name Origin: Named after the region's native sticky monkey flower and a nod to the Belgian Trappist monks.
Ingredients: Brewed using Belgian candi sugar and Mexican Turbinado brown sugar for deep molasses notes.
Appearance, Aroma, and Taste Appearance: Pours a dark, murky brown with low carbonation and a thin tan head.
Aroma: Rich notes of brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, dark fruit, and boozy bourbon barrels.
Taste: Sweet flavors of figs, raisins, toffee, and dark chocolate, transitioning into a warm finish with subtle tobacco and oak.
Mouthfeel: Full-bodied, thick, and creamy smooth.
Aging Process Aged for over a year in a blend of retired bourbon barrels from select distilleries to build complex oak, leather, and coconut flavors.
