This fitted veil settles over a myth we still dare to revere. Here we stand, at the thirteenth passage of a journey that refuses to conclude. Carved into the chambers that hold our antiquities and offer a guiding light for our path toward. We offer this behemoth implement of soil and stone only once per earthly rotation, as an offering to reign in the new year. Forged from barrels formerly containing Willet Rye, this blended Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout was then aged for an additional year in fresh bourbon barrels. Welcome to our 2025 Houtenhamer Cuvée.

BURIAL ANNO DOMINI MMXXV(2025) 1 BOTTLE

Anno Domini MMXXV. A Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout and Barleywine with Toasted Coconut and Madagascar, Tahitian, Brazilian, Congolese, Peruvian and Ugandan Vanilla Beans. Offered as a way to commemorate one hell of a journey around this orb of burning elements. It's been a year wrought with challenge and celebration. Recovery and healing.

So we combed through some of our finest Bourbon barrel stock to comprise this blend of Imperial Stout and Barleywine. We then conditioned it upon house-toasted coconut and a smattering of vanilla beans sourced from all over the globe. Dive into dark chocolate lava cake served with a scoop of bourbon vanilla bean ice cream and drizzled in flakes of candied coconut.

A Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine. I welcomed our taproom at Forestry Camp with Virtue's inaugural vintage in 2019. Here is the seventh chapter. This blend was once again championed by our barrelmaster, @crypticbrewer, who dug out his very best picks for this year's cuvee. The majority of our 2025 vintage is comprised of fresh Willet barrels. Warm up with a bevy of caramel, toasted marshmallow, dark chocolate and Tahitian vanilla on the aroma, leading into flavors of orange toffee, toasted brown sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and mission fig.
