Description
Simply one of the best beers ever made. Probably the best barleywine ever made. The original King Henry. This is a 22oz barleywine aged in 23 Year Pappy Van Winkle barrels that previously held Goose Island's 2010 Bourbon County Rare (often considered the best beer ever). That means Pappy 23 barrels held that amazing bourbon for 23 years, then held 2008 BCBS for 2 years (creating OG Rare) and then held the contents of this bottle of barleywine for almost 2 years.
Anyway, I'm a serious beer lover and collector who has a massive temperature controlled beer cellar. No sunlight or temperature fluctuations here. I simply need to downsize and get this to a good home.
