This stout was aged for 27 months. In a single Willett Family Estate 12-year bourbon barrel. Willett barrels, in our experience, often lend a formidable spirit and tannin presence to the beer, and we find it a bit more rare than with other bourbons to find a single barrel which strikes just the right balance. Luckily, this bottle is a prime example of that. A rich, oaky aroma filled with vanilla, followed with cookie dough and spiced cola notes in the sip.
