When our friends from Barreled Souls came to visit and taste through some barrels, we knew a Barleywine was destined to be involved. The chosen blend brings together Bacchus, aged 1,166 days in Willett Rye barrels, and Ophion, aged 1,107 days in Willett Family Estate Bourbon barrels. The result is a rich, silky-bodied Stout layered with intense notes of dark chocolate–covered cherries, ripe figs, vanilla, and caramelized brown sugar.
