Planifolia (2024)
Planifolia is our series of imperial stouts we introduced last year, that focuses on pure vanilla beans and their marriage to a well-developed blend of barrel-aged stout. For 2024 we took a blend consisting of a thoughtful incorporation of 25% Imperial Rye Stout that was aged in Rittenhouse Rye casks for a layer of spice along with our "stout recipe 2" aged in four roses and wild turkey casks for a total average time of 20 months. After blending we aged the bourbon and rye whiskey soaked stout on Comoros vanilla beans. Comoros Vanilla is known as being one of the best vanillas available. This single variety of vanilla showcases notes of marshmallow dipped in fudge - we think it's pretty awesome and we hope you enjoy it.
