There's a Snake in my Bluet is a version of our Blue Suede Shews aged in Bourbon Barrels with a moderate dose of Ugandan vanilla beans. This batch saw close to 18 months in Knob Creek barrels, which tend to lend notes of peanut/nut. This liquid was cranked up to approximately 15.5%, and the effects of the barrel make themselves known. A true bourbon drinker's version of this mead, and is exploding with flavors from the oak and spirit, while still allowing the fruit and cashew plenty of time in the spotlight. Notes of cashew milk, milk chocolate, vanilla, custard, burnt butter, and wood spice all come forward through the spirit as this mead evolves in the glass.
