I am selling off my collectible bottle collection and have a set of barleywine up next. I think the bottles are all excellent for the style.

Brewery Descriptions:
Treehouse: Double-Barrel Tree of Light: Double Barrel Tree of Light is a barrel-aged barleywine ale aged in select bourbon barrels. To capture the myriad of robust notes bourbon offers, after a year of rest this beer was re-racked onto a second round of freshly pulled barrels from some of our favorite makers. A product of time, patience, and carefully studied brewing acumen, this beer has over a decade of learned experience in the making. Pouring a dark hazel color into the glass, notes of sticky toffee pudding, southern baked pecan chewies, and creamy English caramels greet the palate. Following this introduction, bursting aromas of oaky spice and sweet vanilla take center stage. Double Barrel Tree of Light is a beer to be celebrated and enjoyed on a special occasion.
Fox Farm Copestone (2024): Copestone, our Port and Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine, is brewed, blended and bottled annually to share at this time each year. This batch began almost exactly two years ago with a simple grain bill of English Maris Otter barley and a touch of select specialty malts - all double mashed in the morning and boiled late into the evening with a hearty addition of Mauritian Dark Muscovado sugar towards the end. While we enjoy tasting Copestone during its start in stainless, it doesn’t quite resemble the Copestone we know and love so early - we get our first glimpse of it as we taste through those amazing port and bourbon barrels many months later. The transformation in those two years has been remarkable yet familiar - fans of Copestone will love this batch but each year we strive for subtle refinements and think they show in this year’s bottles.
Timber Maris: Blend Four (Yellow Wax): Blend Four is a new blend of our first barrel-aged beer. This second batch went through extended aging compared to its predecessor, aging over 30 months in Willett Rye barrels before being blended and bottled
Treehouse - Tree of Grace: Tree of Grace is a barrel-aged barleywine ale aged in a mix of bourbon barrels for one year before an additional year aged in select rum barrels. A product of time, patience, and carefully studied brewing acumen, this beer presents over a decade of learned experience in its creation.
Pouring a luscious dark amber color into your glass, notes of molten toffee, butterscotch, and sticky rum cake coat the palate. On top of this quintessential foundation, aromas of fruit-laden marzipan, oven-toasted coconut, and dried tropical fruits swirl above the glass. Tree of Grace is a beer to be celebrated and enjoyed on a special occasion. Given its heft and complexity, it should age exceptionally and reward your patience for up to ten years.
