Turbo [4-Pack]
(Double IPA, 8.6% ABV, 16oz) In Cascade we trust. Before the aroma hop revolution, Cascade laid the groundwork, acclimating Americans’ palates to the wonder of hops. It is with great pleasure that we present, in true Tree House fashion, our tribute to this genre-defining hop: Turbo. Turbo contains three varieties of Cascade: American, New Zealand, and Australian. American Cascade features high levels of the terpene myrcene, responsible for the palate-smacking grapefruit aroma that put Cascade on the map. The New Zealand variety leans toward a fruitier, brighter expression, enhancing the interplay of citrus and pine resin. Beneath this frontline of citrus power, the Australian variety contains higher levels of the terpene humulene, lending a dank, earthy character to the finish. After substantial kettle and whirlpool additions, this beer was dry-hopped at a whopping five pounds per barrel with this trio, fully articulating Cascade’s multifarious qualities. We have never experienced such an amplified profile; it truly crosses the threshold of hoppy nostalgia into an entirely new realm. This beer is as provocative as it is edifying and should be enjoyed immediately.
