Two historic brewing traditions collide in this latest offering in honor of Oktoberfest. A result of our quest to explore every tributary and offshoot within the world of Märzen lagers, we present to you Slow Burn. The backbone of this beer carries the quintessential notes of brown bread, malty caramel, and a balanced bitterness from noble Hallertau hops&mdashbut with a twist from Munich’s northern neighbor, Bamberg. Traveling but two hours from Germany’s capital one will find themselves immersed in a beer culture like no other: the land of smoked beers. Modern brewers have the ability to tweak, nudge and control every possible minutia of the brewing and fermentation process, but in Bamberg a vestige of the old world still thrives.
