"Agates, our very old special ale, was blended from six small-format barrels. Our friends at Rock Filter Distillery in Spring Grove, MN gave us these barrels. The dark syrupy liquid was aged in these heirloom grain spirit barrels for twenty-seven months. Agates orchestrates a symphony of layered crescendos of flavor with notes of dried fig, caramelized sugar, tart cherry, mocha, sweet tobacco, old leather, and rich chocolate-covered caramel. An exquisite delineation of beer through time, with patience." (first & only batch)
