This collaboration has resulted in a Straight Rye Whiskey that not only respects Kosher guidelines but also maintains the high standards of quality and flavor that Buffalo Trace is known for.
Distilled from the same premium grains as Buffalo Trace's renowned straight rye whiskeys, this Kosher spirit undergoes aging in barrels specially designated for this purpose. To ensure adherence to Kosher practices, particularly around Passover, these barrels are sold to a non-Jewish executive in a ceremony observed by a cRc representative, making the whiskey Kosher, although it is noted that it is not Kosher for Passover.
After a maturation period of seven years and bottled at 94 proof, this Straight Rye Whiskey is a testament to Buffalo Trace's meticulous production process. The distillery ensures that the bottling lines are thoroughly cleaned prior to bottling this special edition, eliminating any contact with non-Kosher spirits. Released annually after Passover, it embodies the bold and brash spirit associated with America’s oldest continually-operating distillery.
