Fresh Hop Harvest Ale (Strata) (8%) Multi-oat/wheat harvest ale whirlpooled with 120lbs of wet whole cone strata hops, and dry hopped heavily with strata t90 pellets. we switched things up this year and ran fermentation with chico instead of our house london strain. why? chico ferments way cleaner than london ale. a more neutral yeast expression = more natural and clearer hop expression. this year's batch is light years ahead of the previous two years. it blurs the line between our multi-oat/wheat and west coast ipas. orange juice, ripe strawberry and grapefruit oil on the nose and palate. subtle bitterness. immensely soft, sticky and drinkable.
