Hill Farmstead Damon - 500 mL - March 2018 Release

Brewery Description:

Traditionally, Damon is our highest and most cherished expression of an imperial stout, setting the benchmark for nearly 15 years against which we evaluate all of our imperial stouts. This iteration was composed of a blend of two threads, one aged 28 months in Elijah Craig 18-year barrels and a second aged 31 months in Willet barrels. The result is a meaningful tribute to a beloved companion and a deeply layered expression of our imperial stout, shaped by time and spirit, with resonant notes of dark chocolate, oak, and gentle warmth.

In my opinion, the 2018 Damon is one of the best base releases of the stout. This bottle has been cellar stored since purchase, and was purchased at the brewery.
