A beer fit for royalty, Barrel Aged Swiss Bliss Grand Royale has aged in a singular Blanton’s barrel for a staggering 27 months before we added Swiss Chocolate Almond Coffee, Marshmallow, and three different types of nuts: almonds, peanuts, and macadamia nuts.
Barrel Aged Swiss Bliss Grand Royale pours jet black with only millimeters of head. Aromas of bright nougat covered in assorted nut clusters rolled in cocoa powder waft up, followed by lingering Cadbury chocolate and a large sip of neat bourbon. The flavors are true to their aromatic precursors and turn into a viscous sip of Swiss Alps chocolate, a rich and toasty nut medley, and elemental barrel caramel that quickly warms your tummy with a strong finish of bourbon that reverberates to your fingertips. This silky present is a beautiful harmony of time, barrel, and some of our favorite adjuncts, and it is truly greater than the sum of its parts.
