A special beer indeed! Back in September 2020 we were lucky enough to source these barrels. It has been the only time we have seen available any barrels of the renown Pappy van Winkle collection of bourbon whiskeys.
We gave these barrels some extra time to condition one of our imperial stouts, and after 3.5 years the beer and barrels found its stride and it was worth the long wait.
It so happens that we selected the best barrels from the lot and packaged the beer during the week of our 12th anniversary date. After a couple months of resting in bottles, they are now ready. Kinda belated, but kinda fitting for a beer to commemorate our 12th year as a brewery!”
