One bottle of Samuel by Hill Farmstead -- Winter 2026 Release
Waxed bottle (bottle is waxed and properly stored)
Bottle conditionning since March 24, 2023
This singular beer is composed of buckwheat, spelt, and Vermont wildflower honey; fermented with our Farmstead® yeast, it experiences an extended rest in wine barrels. Guided by the kindred spirit of Le Sarrasin and Vera Mae, it carries elements of each while arriving at an identity entirely its own.
This release has spent more than three years slowly conditioning in the bottle. That intentional passage has allowed the beer to gather depth, texture, and aromatic complexity—and its evolution will continue for years to come.
Samuel takes its name from Samuel Hill (1820–1899), Edward’s great-uncle and brother of Ephraim. A farmer, inventor, Union Army veteran, and tireless contributor to his community, his life was defined by ingenuity, perseverance, and an intrepid spirit. It is in honor of that enduring legacy that we offer Samuel anew.

- Microsoft email is brutal! They have a circular response to solve problems. If you have a hotmail, live, msn, or outlook account you may see some issues receiving emails. We are working on it, but the internet is awash with the frustrations of all users trying to work through their silliness.
