(Pale Ale, 5.1%, 16oz) The entire hazy movement was built on Citra. We love it. We find who grows it best. We use it with near reckless abandon. It’s a regular in our Tree House-style offerings. For this series, Evolution of Citra, we will chart its utility and magic through increasingly big and saturated styles. For this second installment in the series, we present to you the Pale Ale, brewed and dry-hopped with our finest Citra lots. Not only are Pale Ales a passion of ours, they were instrumental in capturing the public’s heart when craft beer was a still fledgling movement. Pouring a soft clementine hue, notes of white grapefruit, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and mango smoothie lift out of the glass. These sweet citrus aromas ride a balanced wave of bitter hoppiness that dissipates into a lip-smacking dry finish. We hope you enjoy this Citra showcase; there is much more to come!
