(Irish Style Red Ale, 4.6%, 16oz) Cleona Nitro is our Irish-style Red, pouring the color of the rising sun. This ale greets the senses with subtle aromas of dark fruit and fresh toffee cake. With our first sip, we taste notes of mild caramel and toasted Irish soda bread stippled with plump raisins. The addition of nitro carbonation adds an authentic pub-like creamy texture to its malty character. It’s easy to forget there are still places, far from modernity, where the veil is still thin. Cleona was known as the goddess of love, but her great power was not to be taken lightly: dangerous to the foolish and healing to those in need. The abode from her myth still stands, a rock face in County Cork, with the uncanny resemblance of a doorway. We ask you to step through that door and ponder a time when these beliefs were as real as anything you can touch.
